Aluminum Man 1 Rest.


Finalize your plans for the Games!


This is the post event pic from Friday's Aluminum Man.  See if you can pick out the CrossFitters from Marina and Newport Beach in the crowd.

PK was your affiliate winner.  His well honed tactics consisted of a steady pace run/swim/run, followed by some wet-vac-like consumption of cerveza.  He was in last place coming back inside then passed us all in the guzzle to the finish!



Important:  We will be closed from Thursday, July 9th through Monday, July 13th.


There will be a Floater workout Monday at 6:00 pm.

Saturday

As for folks stopping by, we had the pleasure to see David and Polly yesterday.  They were traveling through town on a trip. Polly took second at the Hell's Half Acre Qualifier for the Games and she'll be visiting with us in Aromas.

Run 800 meters

2 pood Kettlebell swing, 30 reps

30 Pull-ups






Ruben gets it!  Then he gets it again, then again, then again, then, you get the picture. Great job mister.











There will be a 5:30 Floater workout tonight.

Wednesday

IMG_4372 He flies though workouts like a pro, coaches teams to greatness on the basketball court and is a loving husband.  Bet you never knew he was an international man of intrigue!

He writes of massive carb intake, a very small portion of which includes, Ichiban!

For the WOD:
It's the "Not Totally Total"
You can do the CFT or focus on one or two skills or lifts.  Do a half hour of handstand work, muscle up progressions.  We'll support you as we can.

Just make sure and get a solid warm up and good stretch when you're done.




There will be a floater at 5:30 on Thursday.

Tuesday

Two rounds of:
Right arm barbell push-press 12 reps
Left arm deadlift 12 reps
Run 800 meters
Left arm barbell push-press 12 reps
Right arm deadlift 12 reps
Run 800 meter.




Just be safe and watch that bar overhead...!

Monday

What to do, go max reps each time or stay sub maximal and hit the runs harder to try and stack the pull up numbers?  Either way, keep that grip tight and don't tear those calluses.

  • CrossFit Marina Organized Workouts:
    Summer Schedule: Monday-Friday 05:30, 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 09:00 and 10:00 am (Please come at class time only). If you're late please workout at the next class! Tuesday & Wednesday 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Saturday 08:00 and 09:00. We are closed Sundays
